I have taught English on and off for most of my adult life. It is only recently I decided to get an official certification and have thus become TEFL level 5 qualified with a specialisation in Business English.

My individual English classes are as follows:
Lesson 1: needs assessment and level assessment with proposed plan going forward
Lesson 2: 5 minute warm up or general discussion, 50 mins lesson (needs based), and 5 mins closure and plan for the next lesson.
Homework is given after each lesson and will consist of writing or reading and comprehension exercise that will be submitted to me for marking outside lesson times. Discussion on impeding mistakes will be made during the next lesson.

This is a format that has worked for me in the past and has proved results in previous students.

I prefer to keep the tone relaxed and open. I prefer to use first names and would like to be interrupted and asked questions and harassed as much as possible for my English knowledge during the lessons. I welcome and believe in mistakes and encourage my students to make them!
