Imelda Beswick

Background:

My career path over the past 20 years has been quite varied, but has, however, mostly been in Education and Training. As my Curriculum Vitae demonstrates, I have great adaptability to any position that I have worked in. I have very strong interpersonal and mentoring skills, and I am able to fit into any role assigned to me.

I have also been tasked to develop academic and training materials and my writing and research skills are of a high standard. I am also a qualified Assessor.

Mentoring Skills:

My mission as an educator has always been to develop a well-rounded student and I always seek to engage students by examining ways in which they can actively participate in class discussions, often using app technology and new collaborative platforms.

Academic:

I am a graduate of both the University of Pretoria where I obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree, as well as UNISA and hold an Honours degree in Public Administration and Political Sciences. I have recently completed my PGCEi, through Liverpool John Moores University - UK. This qualification should be sufficient for this role.

Suitability:

I am of the firm belief that my experience, coupled with my maturity and grasp of real-life experience and teaching students of all ages and classes, should make me a strong candidate for this position.
