With over eight years of experience, I’ve developed a confident and adaptable approach to tutoring across both face-to-face and online settings. Working in person has allowed me to build strong rapport quickly, read body language, and respond immediately to misconceptions. It has also enabled me to create structured, focused sessions tailored to individual learning gaps, particularly through live modelling, questioning, and instant feedback.

Online tutoring, on the other hand, has strengthened my clarity of explanation and resource design. Teaching virtually demands precision. Whether through shared documents, live annotation, or structured slides, it has pushed me to refine how I scaffold tasks and maintain engagement. I’ve learned to use targeted questioning, retrieval practice, and timed exam-style tasks effectively in a digital environment.

This combination of sustained experience and adaptability has allowed me to refine a tutoring style that is structured, responsive, and outcomes-focused.

As an educator, it is of the upmost importance to me that all students enjoy learning. I offer innovative solutions which help promote pupil progress and I’m often deemed to be students’ ‘favourite teacher’. Being results driven means that I am always striving to deliver lessons efficiently and with a relatable take, to fully engage every student. I possess the practical teaching skills and subject knowledge for teaching across all Key Stages. I’m confident using Microsoft Office applications including Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint & Excel. Video conferencing technology, such as Zoom became a key aspect of education during the pandemic and taught me to be more adaptable in an ever changing environment. Technology continues to be a valuable tool within education and I’m experienced in using it to deliver technical presentations to students, as well as for academic projects during my degree(s). My versatility makes me a true asset. I would consider my unique selling point to be the outstanding rapport I am able to build with my students and the progress they can make in a short space of time!
