My teaching approach is communicative and practical — I believe language is best learned through active use, not just memorization of rules. Each lesson typically begins with a short warm-up conversation to get the student speaking and to gauge where they're comfortable, followed by focused input on a specific grammar point or vocabulary set relevant to their goals (exam prep, workplace English, everyday conversation, etc.). I then move into guided practice — role-plays, short writing tasks, or structured exercises — before ending with real-life application, like simulating a conversation the student might actually have, and a quick recap with light homework to reinforce what we covered.
I adapt content depending on the learner: for students preparing for exams, I focus on structured practice and common question patterns; for professionals or adults, I lean into practical, real-world scenarios; for younger learners, I keep lessons more interactive and visual. Lesson dynamics stay flexible and conversational — I want students to feel comfortable making mistakes, since that's where real learning happens, and I adjust pace based on how quickly they're absorbing material.
While my formal teaching experience is still growing, I bring strong communication skills from my clinical background as a physician, where explaining complex information clearly to patients from different backgrounds was part of daily work. I'm also currently learning German myself at B2 level, which keeps me closely in touch with what it feels like to be a language learner — the frustrations, the small wins, and what actually helps something stick.
