My lessons are structured around the individual learner. Before our first session, I take time to understand your current level, your goals, and how you learn best, then I build from there. There is no one-size-fits-all approach in my classroom.

For beginners, I focus on building a strong foundation: pronunciation, basic grammar, and everyday vocabulary through conversation and repetition. I use real-life scenarios so that what you learn in the lesson is immediately useful outside of it.

For intermediate learners, I emphasise fluency and accuracy together. We work on grammar in context, reading comprehension, writing practice, and structured conversation. I also incorporate German media (short videos, news articles, and songs) to make learning dynamic and culturally rich.

For advanced learners preparing for exams such as the Goethe-Zertifikat or TestDaF, I design targeted preparation sessions: timed writing tasks, oral practice under exam conditions, and detailed feedback on common error patterns.

My teaching background includes two years of classroom instruction at secondary school level in Kenya, where I taught German to over 200 students across different year groups. I am currently on academic exchange at the University of Paderborn, which means my German is active, current, and immersed in a real academic environment.

I also work professionally as a German language consultant for an AI technology company, reviewing and evaluating language for accuracy and fluency. This means I have a sharp eye for the kinds of mistakes learners make and exactly how to correct them.
