My maths lessons are structured but relaxed, so pupils feel comfortable while still making clear progress. I usually start with a short recap or a quick warm-up question to see what the child remembers. Then I introduce the main topic in simple steps, using everyday examples they can relate to—like money, time, or sharing items—to make the concept easier to understand.

I explain, then we solve a few questions together before the pupil tries some on their own. I use worksheets for practice and sometimes short videos or visual aids when a concept needs more clarity. To keep things engaging, I include simple maths games or challenges, especially for younger learners, so it doesn’t feel too serious or overwhelming.

I adjust the pace depending on the child—some need more time and repetition, others move faster. I also support with homework, revision, and test preparation when needed. My focus is helping pupils understand what they are doing, not just memorise, while building their confidence gradually.
