I am a native English speaking tutor from South Africa and I have been teaching since 2011, after I got my TEFL certificate and did a 9 month internship program.
My students have ranged from 2 years old to 96 ; from complete beginners to students preparing for their C1 exams, and everything in between.
General English, Business English, school presentations, grammar exams, etc., etc., etc.

I pride myself on my ability to build great rapport with any and all of my students, no matter
background, nationality, profession, or level of English.
I have taught students from all over the world, including Germany, Brazil, France, Bosnia,
Indonesia, Russia, South Korea and Albania, to name a few.
I have been greatly successful in motivating my students and building their confidence in
their abilities, to the point where they are comfortable using the language in any setting.

Learning a language shouldn't be like learning mathematics where you judge your success
on how few mistakes you make, after all.
It is much more like learning to ride a bicycle: you only get better by doing; how you use it
changes with the terrain, and even though you may wobble a bit, you can usually manage to
keep pedalling.
We aren't aiming for perfection. We're aiming for improvement.

I understand the struggle of learning new languages, and am therefore more than happy to
suggest various ways my students can incorporate English into their daily lives.
Based on their hobbies, interests and needs, I like to find English YouTube channels that
appeal to them, recommend interesting podcasts or online magazines, maybe even send
them links to TikTok accounts that cover topics they enjoy.
I don't believe training and support ends when the lesson is finished.

My main goal is to support and lead each of my students to reach the goals they have set for themselves, and do so in an interesting, fun and enjoyable way!
