I am Colette Tambe a passionate-teacher with more than 10 years of experience in teaching primary school children. I am flexible, patient, reliable, creative and adaptive to new changes.
As a 21st century teacher, I use a variety of teaching methods such as students - base learning, project - based learning, Activity - based learning and Interactive learning.
To make my classroom fun and interesting, I use different leadership styles to build confidence in the children. By using using the transformational leadership style, it gives children the opportunity to explore different abilities and potentials they possess. While Laissez Faire leadership style gives them the freedom to choose whatever they want to learn at a particular time. Democratic leadership style makes the children feel valuable since their opinions also count in every decision making that concerns them.
Nonetheless, teacher and learning can not be successful without some challenges. I believe each teacher has the capacity to handle problems as they present themselves. As a 21st century teacher, I have increased my scope of horizon by acquiring skills and knowledge through Online Courses on how to handle children with aggressive and defiant behavior, children with ADHD and children with dyslexia. I also have the certificates and diplomas to backup my acquisition of the above mentioned knowledge and skills.
