Bethel Philip

Teachers are Transformers.

I am Bethel Philip, a Nigerian short story writer, as well as a graduate of B.A English and Literary Studies, from the the prestigious Benue State University, Makurdi.

I have been teaching ages 3 to 16 and more English for close to three years now, and I am not ready to stop impacting anytime soon. Over time I have garnered the gluing secret of retention and fun, while impacting knowledge. Persuasion without coercion works using my strategies.

I have developed and curated methodologies that suites the varying needs of my learners. Mostly interactive, creative, and dynamic methodologies. Using the ASEI Lesson Plan, pupils and students are in the centre of this kind of learning, letting their thoughts unfold into creative systems.

Also, another spice in the teaching world, knowing that learners fall into categories of fast or slow is; patience. Patience, is a must have virtue that I do not take for granted.

I don't know about you, but I tested one of such methodologies with my once upon a time slow learner. In less than three months, Oma transformed from slow learning to a fast pace, that her mates whom were referred to as brilliant, couldn't keep up with her pace. Her mother in thanksgiving said something that will live with me;

'Teacher, I have a testimony. My girl attempts to read anything she sees, she uses your techniques and articulates them right, it feels like I am dreaming. I am beyond impressed'.

This is a five year old who was struggling to memorise two letter words when we met, now reading longer words and texts.

Now, that is what transformation does, it takes you from point A to point B, and this is where I come in; to help you move to that desired place in your English learning.
