My lessons are designed to be rhythmical and immersive, moving away from repetitive textbook drills to focus on the English used in the real world. We begin every session with a dedicated "NYC Small Talk" segment. During this time, we practice casual, high-energy interactions—the kind I mastered while working in the heart of Manhattan. I teach you how to naturally start and sustain conversations using the specific slang, intonations, and cultural etiquette that native speakers actually use, helping you build immediate rapport in any social setting.
Following our warm-up, we transition into a deep-dive discussion tailored to your personal interests or professional goals. Whether we are discussing art, music, travel, or global trends, the focus remains on natural sentence flow and vocabulary expansion. As a Sonic Arts major, I incorporate "ear training" into this section. I help you hear the musicality of the English language—focusing on word stress, rhythm, and how sounds link together—so that your speech becomes more fluid and less mechanical.
We conclude each lesson with a reflective feedback session I call the "Record Review." Rather than interrupting your creative flow during our conversation, I take quiet notes on your recurring patterns and "Golden Corrections." In these final minutes, we review these together to ensure you understand the logic behind the fixes. To keep your progress consistent, I leave you with a monthly "Real-World Mission," such as analyzing a specific interview or describing a complex emotion in English, ensuring that you stay connected to the language long after our lesson ends.
