Anushka Mashud

I am a passionate and dedicated educator with a Graduate Diploma in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelor of Psychology, a Level 5 TEFL qualification, and training in the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme. My professional experience spans classroom teaching, English language instruction, tutoring, mentoring, and supporting children with diverse learning needs. Through these roles, I have developed a strong understanding of how to create engaging learning experiences that promote confidence, independence, and academic growth.

My teaching philosophy is centred on the belief that every learner is unique and deserves an inclusive, supportive environment in which they can thrive. I use a student-centred approach that encourages active participation, curiosity, and critical thinking. By adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles, interests, and abilities, I ensure that students remain motivated and challenged while feeling supported throughout their learning journey.

Drawing on my psychology background, I place significant importance on building positive relationships with learners and understanding their social and emotional needs. I believe that meaningful learning occurs when students feel safe, respected, and encouraged to take risks. As a result, I focus on creating welcoming classroom environments that foster confidence and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

My teaching methodologies include differentiated instruction, inquiry-based learning, communicative language teaching, and experiential learning. In English language teaching, I emphasise real-world communication, helping students develop practical skills in speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. I strive to make lessons interactive, relevant, and engaging by incorporating discussions, collaborative activities, problem-solving tasks, and authentic materials.
