I like to understand the student's curriculum and their skill level first. Once established, I do not waste time and start with the preparations for the goals they want to achieve. If the goal is to be a well rounded English speaker, I would make sure that the student converses every minute they spend with me in English. If the goal is to successfully navigate their academic journey, I would make sure their lessons are completed and they are well ahead in class. If the goal is to only pass the English test, then I may be helpful depending on the level of the student however, I would insist on clearing the basics first.
I do not believe in rigid course contents as every student requires a different kind of guidance when it comes to language training. However, for learners who would like to be in advanced training phases, I can arrange for Reading and Creative writing sessions.
