Anna White-Giannopoulou

I'm from Australia but I currently live in Europe due to my husband's start-up. I have a degree in teaching and education and I also hold a Tesol certificate and an IELTS teaching certificate.
My first teaching job was as a Primary school teacher. For the last 12 years I’ve been an ESL teacher, tutoring kids and adults on-line in both group and individual lessons, which I have found quite exciting because it gives me the chance to meet students from all over the world.
I’ve been working on-line with kids of all ages and have experience in using interactive sources such as gamification and e-books. I also incorporate lots of props to encourage my students' learning process and engage them in the lesson.
I’m specialized in working with corporate students and adults and young adults who wish to improve their General English skills or Business skills so as to communicate with other people in English when travelling abroad or in their workplace and I also prepare students for international exams such as IELTS, TOEFL, CPE and FCE. I also help students with more professional needs such as Business, Law, Finance, or Tourism.
My warm, approachable nature fosters a positive and motivating classroom environment, while my strong command of English grammar allows me to effectively bridge learning gaps.I am passionate about making lessons engaging, interactive, and inclusive—ensuring that every student has equal opportunities to participate. In my classes, students not only develop their language skills, but also explore aspects of English-speaking cultures, gaining insight into traditions, literature, and everyday life that deepen their understanding and appreciation of the language.
In my free time I love to draw and cook. I think the creativity of drawing and cooking is what really excites me just like teaching.
