I follow the communicative method of teaching where students are encouraged to use the language in authentic contexts. I endeavor to ensure that students learn the language by doing. I make sure that my classes are interactive. This means that the class is student-centered and students talk more than the teacher.

I learned these communicative approaches in my MA in teaching Arabic as a foreign language, which I completed in 2004 at the American University in Cairo.
