About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated German Language Teacher to support learners in developing their German language skills. The ideal candidate will have experience teaching German to non-native speakers.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging German language lessons tailored to adult learners.
Assess learners’ language proficiency and create individualized learning plans.
Provide clear explanations of German grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
Incorporate interactive activities, multimedia resources, and real-life scenarios into lessons.


Requirements

Fluency in German (spoken and written).
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Linguistics, German, or related field.
Previous experience teaching German.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and proficiency levels.


Preferred Skills

Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for language teaching.


You will work with Cartus as a freelancer. There is the potential for you to receive additional assignments.

Learners details:

2 Adult learners
Lesson format: Individual and in-person
Location: Geilenkirchen, Germany
Lesson frequency: 1x per week with each learner
Learners' availability for lessons: Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays in the morning
Learner’s current level of German: A0 beginner
Start date: ASAP - Jan 2026
