Hi, I'm Tomás. I'm a language coach with over 14 years of experience, and I specialize in Spanish for people who already live in Spain or Latin America but still feel like outsiders.

I know that feeling. I've lived in seven countries myself: the US, Panama, India, Chile, Sweden, Venezuela and Spain. Every time I arrived somewhere new, I went through exactly what my students go through. That experience is what makes my approach different.

I don't teach textbook Spanish even though you will learn good grammar. I teach the Spanish you actually need to talk to your neighbors, understand your baker, joke with locals, and finally feel at home. I'm also a certified DELE examiner with Instituto Cervantes and TEFL certified.

My classes are converstional, engaging and tailored for every student or group. We will advance at your own pace and according to your needs. I will correct your mistakes and in no time you will be the one correcting yourself. I will teach you the Spanish that locals actually use, the real thing, so you can understand not only the words and phrases but also their true meaning, the one that nobody tells you about but that connects you to the culture, the sense of humor, the spontaneity, and the joy that are so characteristic of Hispanic culture.

I have lived in Catalonia, the Valencian Community, the mountains of Granada, the Cádiz region, Galicia, Panama, Chile, Venezuela, and many more and in each place, people speak a distinct variety of Spanish. Depending on where you are the Spanish you're going to hear will be different, and that's the one I want you to learn besides universal Spanish
