I teach Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Programming online, from primary school through Abitur and into first-year university subjects.
My background is in the natural sciences and I work professionally in a scientific/regulatory field, which means I spend my days reading technical literature, evaluating evidence and explaining complex material clearly and precisely. That's exactly what I bring into my lessons: not memorised answers, but an understanding of why something works the way it does.
Lessons are one-to-one and fully online, so we can work together regardless of where you are. All you need is a stable internet connection. I use a shared digital whiteboard, annotated diagrams and worked examples, and you receive my notes from each session afterwards so you can review them.
How I work
First session: we go through where you currently stand, what your goal is (better marks, an upcoming exam, closing a gap, or genuine interest) and I put together a plan.
Every session mixes short explanation with active practice — you solve problems while I'm there, so misunderstandings get caught immediately instead of on the exam.
Before exams we work through past papers and typical question types under realistic conditions.
I adapt to your school's curriculum and materials; if you send me your topics or worksheets in advance, we use those.
I'm patient with students who have lost confidence in a subject, and I don't assume anything is "obvious". At the same time, I'm happy to push ambitious students well beyond the syllabus.
Lessons in English. Feel free to message me with your subject, class level and what you'd like to work on — I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
Biology — Cell biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, human anatomy and physiology. Strong focus on the Abitur topics and on the diagram- and process-based questions that decide most marks. Also suitable for first-year university students in life sciences and health-related programmes.
Chemistry — General, inorganic and organic chemistry: stoichiometry, bonding, equilibria, acids and bases, redox, reaction mechanisms, medicinal chemistry. We work through calculations step by step until the method is automatic, rather than treating each problem as a new puzzle.
Physics — Mechanics, electricity and magnetism, optics, thermodynamics. Emphasis on setting problems up correctly — free-body diagrams, units, orders of magnitude — which is where most mistakes actually happen.
English — Grammar, vocabulary building, reading comprehension, writing (essays, analyses, summaries) and speaking practice. For older students also academic and professional English: scientific writing, presentations, job applications and interview practice.
Programming — Introduction to programming and problem-solving python and C++. Suitable for complete beginners, for school informatics courses, and for students who need programming for their studies (data handling, plotting, small analysis scripts). We build real, working little projects rather than isolated exercises. Daily projects + hands on assignment and portfolio projects at the end.
