I've been teaching French since 2018 (DELF A1 to B2, certified examiner with France Éducation International), with experience teaching in German schools, Gymnasiums, universities (Bielefeld, Münster, Paderborn) and for adults. I know exactly what's expected at Gymnasium or Realschule level, and how the German school system approaches language learning.

Yes, there's grammar, conjugation and vocabulary to learn, no way around that. But learning a language is really about learning to think differently, to see the world from another angle, and to express yourself in a new way. That's what actually stays with you long after the exercise sheet.
