Selina Beck

My name is Selina, and I'm a 25-year-old native English speaker residing in Germany. I am a European-School graduate, and received the EB (European Baccalaureate) in Strasbourg, France in 2017. I have a TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) credential and am now pursuing a Bachelor's degree in UX-Design at the IU University.
For the past 9 years, I have worked as a private tutor, assisting students from France and Germany with homework, exam preparation, and overall language development. I have worked for an Online teaching organisation, where I taught to pupils from 3 to 17 years old in China, and helped them improve their conversation and comprehension skills. In 2022, I worked with a team of engineers at a Freiburg-based company, editing their technical reports for press releases and creating lesson materials to help develop employee's Business English and academic writing skills.

My many hobbies include travel, landscape photography, hiking, cooking, learning about world history and geopolitics and of course... learning languages!

I believe that languages are best learned when you are having fun, so I strive to make my classes interesting and immersing above all else!

Together, we will analyse your current language level, discuss the language skills you would like to work on and develop a learning strategy based on your unique requirements and interests. We'll figure out how you learn best so I can design classes you always look forward to coming to!
