My lessons are built around conversation rather than one-way explanation. I start by figuring out where a student is struggling and why. Sometimes the problem isn't the topic itself but a gap in something that came before it. From there I work through concepts step by step, always trying to connect what we are covering to something real and tangible so it actually makes sense rather than just being something to memorize. I ask a lot of questions during sessions because I want students to think out loud, that is usually how we figure out together where the understanding breaks down.
?I have taught chemistry at the graduate level as a Teaching Assistant at LUMS, taught 9th grade students online via Zoom and mentored an A-level student through a research project. My sessions are online and I am happy to work around a student's schedule and pace.
