My teaching experience spans 15 years of live performance and successfully mentoring 30+ students from beginners to stage-level musicians. As a self-taught guitarist from a musical family, my teaching methods completely bypass rigid, boring textbook drills. Instead, I utilize highly visual, pattern-based approaches to map out the instrument. I break down fretboard learning using intuitive systems like the CAGED system and 3-note-per-string scales, turning what looks like a chaotic grid of frets into a totally predictable, easily navigable roadmap for my students.
The content of my lessons bridges essential music theory with raw rock-and-roll execution. We dive deep into interval recognition, chord construction, rhythm training and ear training, immediately applying these concepts to the songs the student loves. Because a great guitarist needs to master their gear, I also teach the technical side of tone shaping, showing students how to dial in amplifiers, stack effects pedals, and maintain their instruments for optimal playability.
My lesson dynamics are highly energetic, collaborative, and custom-tailored. I firmly believe that motivation thrives when lessons feel like an interactive jam session rather than a strict lecture.
Ultimately, my methods are designed to build stage-ready players. Drawing from my active experience playing in rock bands across Germany, I infuse every lesson with performance psychology. I teach students how to improvise on the fly, lock into a groove with a drummer, overcome stage fright, and channel a "rockstar" confidence that allows them to transition seamlessly from bedroom practice to commanding a live audience. Once you are there, see you on stage.
