I like to create a dynamic and engaging class environment. At the beginning of each lesson, I ask the student if they have any questions or doubts about the topics we covered during the previous week. If there are questions, I dedicate the first part of the class to clarifying those points. We can do exercises or go over specific exercises (or theory) where the student has questions and doubts.
Once the student feels comfortable with the topic, we move on to the other subjects studied during the week. I usually include several exercises to assess the student’s level of understanding and to further explain the strategies and thought processes needed to solve problems correctly. If I feel like the student is struggling in some parts, we can do a higher amount of exercises related to such topics.
If the student has homework, we can also work through it together during the class.
When exams or tests are approaching, I review all the relevant topics with the student, placing special emphasis on the areas where they are experiencing the most difficulty.
Additionally, I am always available to help during the rest of the week, even outside of class hours, through WhatsApp or a quick Zoom call. This allows students to ask questions whenever they arise, without having to wait until the next lesson.
Overall, I aim to build a close and supportive relationship with my students, creating a relaxed environment where they feel comfortable and confident. I believe that when students feel at ease and supported, they learn more effectively and the entire learning experience becomes more enjoyable and productive.
