My name is Rodnell Matos Deffitt, a musician, arranger and teacher with decades of experience in both academic and popular music. My training, which ranges from formal studies at the ‘Federico Villena’ School of Music and the National Youth Orchestra to a Master’s degree as a Intermediate Mandolin Technician and a certified ‘Maestro Pueblo’, enables me to offer you a comprehensive teaching approach. You will not only learn to play, but also to understand music from its very roots, applying precise techniques such as the ‘alza-púa’ to bring every melody to life.

I have had the privilege of being part of symphonic and traditional orchestras, conducting traditional ensembles and recording internationally. My greatest passion is passing on this legacy.
