I have multidisciplinary background in physics, engineering, and design. I have teaching experience in online English tutoring, science tutoring (physics and chemistry), and in-person mathematics tutoring for elementary and middle school students.
I enjoy helping students build confidence and truly understand concepts instead of only memorizing answers. I am especially good at identifying where students feel confused and explaining difficult ideas in a simpler and more intuitive way. I often use visual examples, physical objects, diagrams, and real-world situations to help students understand abstract concepts more clearly.
I can teach in both Chinese and English, and I always try to create a patient, supportive, and encouraging learning environment adapted to each student’s pace and needs.
My lessons are highly interactive and tailored to each student’s learning style and goals. I believe every student learns differently, so I adjust my teaching methods depending on their strengths, difficulties, and pace. For younger students, I like using intuitive explanations, storytelling, and visual demonstrations to make learning more engaging and less stressful. For older students, I focus on building logical thinking, problem-solving ability, and deeper conceptual understanding. I also help students develop effective study habits, improve confidence during exams, and become more independent learners over time.
Additionally, I enjoy connecting academic concepts to everyday life, technology, and real-world applications so students can see why what they learn is meaningful. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to make learning feel more interesting, approachable, and rewarding in the long term.
