My lessons are interactive, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual learning needs. With two Master’s degrees in Plant Pathology and Agricultural Sciences, including a degree from the University of Bonn, Germany, I bring a strong academic background and practical experience to my teaching.
In addition to my academic qualifications, I have extensive experience in facilitation, non-formal education, and organising educational workshops through youth and sustainability organisations. I have worked with participants from diverse educational and cultural backgrounds, facilitating discussions, group activities, and hands-on learning experiences. This experience has strengthened my ability to communicate complex topics clearly, encourage active participation, and create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
My Teaching Methods
I believe students learn best when they actively participate rather than simply memorise information. Therefore, I combine theoretical explanations with practical examples, interactive discussions, visual learning materials, problem-solving exercises, and real-world case studies. I adapt my teaching approach according to each student's academic level, learning pace, and individual goals.
Subjects and Specialisation
My lessons cover various areas of Agricultural Sciences, including plant biology, plant pathology, crop production, plant protection, soil health, biodiversity, and sustainable agriculture.
One of my key strengths is connecting Agricultural Sciences with Sustainability. I help students understand how agricultural practices relate to climate change, environmental protection, food security, biodiversity conservation, circular economy, and sustainable resource management. Through practical examples and discussions, students learn not only scientific concepts but also their applications in addressing environmental challenges.
Lesson Structure and Dynamics
Each lesson begins with identifying the student's learning objectives and existing knowledge. I then introduce the topic through clear explanations and relatable examples, followed by interactive exercises, questions, and discussions. I encourage students to think critically, express their ideas, and connect their knowledge with practical situations.
I also provide support with coursework, scientific assignments, presentations, research-related topics, and exam preparation.
My Teaching Philosophy
My experience as an educational facilitator has taught me that learning becomes more meaningful when students feel confident, involved, and motivated. My goal is to create a friendly and encouraging learning environment where students can ask questions freely, strengthen their scientific understanding, and develop independent problem-solving skills.
Ultimately, I want my students not only to succeed academically but also to understand how Agricultural Sciences can contribute to a more sustainable future.
