I focus on strong fundamentals first. Before rushing into formulas, I make sure students understand why a method works. I use simple language, real-life examples, and step-by-step explanations so concepts don’t feel abstract or intimidating. If a student doesn’t understand something the first time, we approach it from a different angle — there’s always more than one way to learn maths.

Lessons are highly interactive. I encourage students to ask questions freely, make mistakes, and think out loud. We practise together during the session, not just through homework, so I can spot gaps immediately and correct them early. I gradually increase the difficulty of questions to build confidence and problem-solving skills without overwhelming the student.

I adapt my teaching style to each learner. Some students need structure and repetition; others need visual explanations or shortcuts for exams. I adjust pacing based on the student’s comfort level and academic goals, whether it’s improving school grades, preparing for tests, or strengthening basics for future studies.

I have experience tutoring school-level mathematics and working with students of different abilities. My approach is patient, encouraging, and results-focused. Over time, students don’t just memorise steps — they start recognising patterns, thinking logically, and feeling more confident in their own ability to solve problems.

My goal is simple: help students understand maths, not fear it — and steadily improve their performance along the way.
