My lessons are built around one goal: helping you think and work like a scientist, not just memorize information. I hold a PhD in Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience) with research experience in cancer biology, brain development and psychiatric disorders. I taught as an adjunct professor at Hillsborough Community College, and since 2020 I have mentored more than 30 high school students one-on-one through Polygence. My students have written research papers on topics from cancer and depression to ADHD medications and rare genetic disorders, and several have prepared their work for publication in student science journals. Every lesson starts with where you are.I learn about individual goals, interests and current level, then build a clear plan with you. Each session follows the same rhythm: we review what you did, I teach one new skill or concept, we apply it together to your own work, and you leave with specific, written next steps. Meine teaching ist Interactive. I ask questions rather than lecture, so you learn to reason through problems yourself. We read real scientific articles together, guided by critical-thinking questions, and I use diagrams, examples and real data to make complex ideas concrete. Content is tailored to you: biology, neuroscience, cancer biology, research methods, scientific writing, literature reviews, data analysis (including Python), and preparing papers for publication. You can expect honest, encouraging feedback: I'll name what you're doing well, explain clearly what needs work, and show you how to improve it.
