My Teaching Approach

My teaching focuses on clarity, curiosity, and understanding. I want my students to see mathematics as a logical and creative process rather than a set of memorized formulas. To achieve this, I design lessons that connect abstract ideas with visual and practical examples, encouraging students to explore, question, and discover patterns on their own.

Methods and Classroom Practice

I use a problem-based, inquiry-oriented approach. Lessons often begin with a simple but thought-provoking question that leads students to uncover concepts naturally. Through guided discovery and mathematical dialogue, I help them articulate their reasoning and build confidence in expressing mathematical ideas.

Collaboration plays a central role in my classes. Students work in pairs or small groups to compare methods and challenge each other’s thinking. I constantly check their understanding through formative assessments, allowing me to adapt the pace and focus of each lesson to their needs.

Content and Atmosphere

Content is structured from concrete to abstract, ensuring that each new topic builds upon prior knowledge. For example, before introducing algebraic structures, I often start with patterns or familiar numerical systems. I cultivate a classroom atmosphere that values respect, curiosity, and the freedom to make mistakes, since I believe mistakes are essential to genuine learning.

Experience

At Genius International School, I have taught students of varying levels — from those preparing for Olympiads and SAT exams to those developing foundational skills. This experience has strengthened my ability to differentiate instruction, use technology and games effectively, and adapt lessons to diverse learners.

Ultimately, I aim to make mathematics meaningful and accessible, guiding every student toward independent thinking and genuine appreciation of the subject.
