My lessons are structured based on the age, level, and learning goals of each student, but I generally follow a clear and engaging format:
1. Warm-up/Introduction (5–10 minutes)
I begin with greetings, revision of previous work, or a simple interactive activity to help students feel comfortable and focused.
2. Lesson Presentation (10–15 minutes)
I introduce the new topic clearly using age-appropriate explanations, examples, visuals, stories, or conversation practice, depending on the learner’s level.
3. Guided Practice (10–15 minutes)
Students practice with my support through reading, vocabulary exercises, grammar drills, pronunciation work, or speaking activities.
4. Interactive Activities (10–15 minutes)
I use games, role play, questions, songs (for younger children), or discussions to keep lessons engaging and improve participation.
5. Independent Practice/Assessment (5–10 minutes)
Students complete short tasks to show understanding, and I give corrections and feedback.
6. Review and Homework (5 minutes)
I summarize the lesson, review key points, and may assign simple practice tasks when needed.
I adapt my teaching methods for children of different ages, using phonics and fun activities for younger learners, while older students may focus more on grammar, reading comprehension, writing, and conversational English. My lessons are student-centered, interactive, and designed to build confidence while improving language skills.
