Milica Panic

I am a qualified Serbian language and literature teacher with over 15 years of teaching experience. I hold a Master’s degree in Serbian Language and Literature and have taught Serbian to children, adults, foreigners, and members of the Serbian diaspora. My experience includes both classroom and online teaching, with students from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds and at various proficiency levels. I currently teach Serbian online, helping learners develop practical communication skills and confidence in everyday situations.
My teaching approach combines contextual and task-based learning with a strong focus on communication. I believe that students learn best when they actively use the language rather than simply memorize grammar rules. I therefore introduce new vocabulary and grammar through realistic situations, conversations, role-plays, questions, and practical tasks. I encourage students to speak Serbian from the very beginning, while gradually improving their accuracy, vocabulary, pronunciation, and fluency. I adapt lessons to each student's level, age, interests, goals, and individual learning style. Grammar is explained clearly and simply, always supported by examples and immediate practice.
My areas of expertise include Serbian grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, conversation, and everyday communication. I have particular experience working with beginners and intermediate learners, as well as children and heritage learners. I am also experienced in explaining Serbian grammar to speakers of other languages and making potentially difficult concepts, such as the Serbian case system, understandable and practical. My goal is to create engaging, supportive lessons in which students feel comfortable making mistakes, actively participate, and gradually become confident and independent Serbian speakers.
