With experience in teaching precursors and nursery school kids English in Nigeria, it has been a positive and well received activity.
I mostly dwell on getting through to my student the importance of certain mostly ignored rules in the language to generally help them understand the basic concept of "not going with the crowd" and to make their speech stand out from a monotony of speeches.

I have also had the privilege to teach primary and college students English and by the side literature in English which is I must say, a joy to the brain. As developing a culture if reading literature such as novels, magazine articles, folklore, can certainly help them in EXPANDING their vocabulary and bringing out the best in terms of application of words in the right classes.
