My Spanish lessons are dynamic, structured, and strongly focused on real communication. My main objective is to help students feel confident using Spanish in everyday situations, while also understanding how the language works. I adapt each lesson to the student’s level, goals, and interests, whether they are learning Spanish for travel, work, studies, or personal enrichment.
Methodologically, I combine communicative language teaching with clear grammatical explanations. Each lesson usually includes three core elements: practical vocabulary, functional grammar, and active use of the language. I avoid purely theoretical lessons and instead introduce grammar through examples, short dialogues, and real-life contexts. Students are encouraged to speak from the very beginning, even at beginner level, to reduce fear and build confidence.
Lesson dynamics are interactive and varied. I use conversation exercises, role-plays, guided dialogues, short texts, videos, and listening activities. For more advanced students, I incorporate articles, opinion texts, and cultural materials related to Spanish-speaking countries, which helps connect language learning with social and cultural understanding. I also place importance on pronunciation and listening comprehension, adapting the pace to each learner.
Regarding experience, I have worked as a private English teacher and tutor for several years, teaching children, teenagers, and adults in both one-to-one and small group settings. I have also taught languages in summer camps and educational environments, which has given me strong skills in explaining concepts clearly, keeping lessons engaging, and adapting to different learning styles. As a native Spanish speaker with a strong academic background in social sciences, I am particularly attentive to communication, meaning, and context.
Overall, my teaching style is patient, supportive, and motivating. I aim to create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and actively using Spanish as a living language.
