My lessons are interactive, engaging, and student-centered, with a strong focus on communication, critical thinking, and real-world learning. With over 10 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students of different ages, levels, and backgrounds, teaching English, Social Studies, English Literature, and IB MYP courses.
I believe that effective learning happens when students are actively involved in the lesson. Therefore, I use a combination of discussion, questioning, real-life examples, visual materials, collaborative activities, practical tasks, and guided practice. I encourage students to express their ideas, ask questions, think independently, and apply what they learn rather than simply memorize information.
My lessons usually follow a clear but flexible structure: we begin by connecting the topic to students’ prior knowledge, introduce and explore the new content, practise through interactive activities, and finish with reflection, feedback, or a short assessment of learning.
My teaching is also strongly influenced by the IB approach, particularly inquiry-based learning, communication, reflection, and developing independent and confident learners.
Most importantly, I adapt my teaching style to each student’s needs, personality, learning pace, and goals. I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, participating actively, and continuously improving.
My goal is not only to teach a subject or a language, but to help students become confident, curious, and independent learners.
