I have a student-centred approach to my tutoring meaning I am focused on making sure students understand what they are being taught 100% and know how they can apply the information in real life situations.

I have been teaching Maths for students since grade 7 at school and when I got older I taught Maths to younger students at home and at school.

I use a variety of examples to get the point over to my students and will keep explaining a point till it is understood. I am patient and know how to deal with all students individually till they understand and are not confused.

I prefer not to overload students with a lot of assignments or homework so that they do not feel like they are wasting their time doing a lot of questions but at the end they are not learning anything new. It is better to solve a few questions but understand a topic completely than solve a lot of questions but not understand what you are solving.

Using interactive teaching methods ensures that the students can offer their problems and issues with the subject, and together we can work towards finding a solution instead of simply telling them the answer. I prefer to have students think for themselves so they can activate their mind and stay active during the lessons.

I believe in having quizzes that are there to test the level of the students and to conduct the quizzes I prefer to ask students about what topics they feel are the hardest so I can quiz them about it. This will make sure that they studied the lesson quite well and together we can see what their problem with the lesson is and then with the quizzes and tests we can see their level and questions they did not understand. I do not take quizzes for the sake of quizzes. I do not believe quizzes should cause anxiety for students. They should affirm them and show them their level and what they can improve in.
