My teaching philosophy is built on the belief that language is a bridge, not a barrier. I focus on immersion and practical application, ensuring that from our very first session, you are speaking and thinking in Spanish. As a native speaker, I provide you with the "real" Spanish, the expressions, the rhythm, and the cultural context you won't find in a standard textbook.
I provide a dynamic and tailored methodology, because every student learns differently.
My approach is highly adaptive:
- For Beginners: We focus on the "Building Blocks." I provide clear, structured materials to help you master essential grammar and high-frequency vocabulary. We use visual aids and interactive exercises to make the basics stick.
- For Intermediate/Advanced Learners: We shift toward active conversation. We might discuss current events, Hispanic literature, or business scenarios to sharpen your fluency and eliminate the "mental translation" phase.
- For Children: I utilize a play-based approach, using storytelling and games to keep their energy high and their interest piqued.
The Lesson Flow:
A typical 60-minute session with me is divided into three parts:
- The Warm-up (10 min): A casual "catch-up" in Spanish to activate your brain.
- The Core (35 min): Introducing a new concept or deepening a previous one through guided practice.
- The Integration (15 min): Free-form conversation or a practical task to apply what you just learned.
Commitment to Your Success:
While I am new to this platform, my background in structured environments means I am exceptionally organized. I keep a progress log for every student, documenting what we’ve covered and identifying areas that need more attention. You aren’t just getting a conversation partner; you are getting a committed mentor who is as invested in your fluency as you are.
