My lessons are structured, interactive, and adapted to the individual needs and pace of each student. I believe biology is best learned by understanding concepts rather than memorizing facts, so I focus on building strong foundations and explaining topics in a clear and intuitive way.
Depending on the student’s goals, lessons may include concept explanations, guided problem-solving, exam preparation, revision sessions, practice questions, and discussion-based learning. I use diagrams, visual aids, real biological examples (research papers), and step-by-step explanations to make complex topics easier to understand and remember.
I have previous teaching and mentoring experience from my doctoral research period at the University of Melbourne, where I supported undergraduate students in molecular biology and biochemistry. I also have experience mentoring Master’s and PhD students in research environments.
I can teach school-level biology as well as university-level subjects such as cell biology, molecular biology, microbiology, genetics, and biochemistry. My aim is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in the subject.
