Personal Statement – Mojiz Abbas Zaidi Syed
Teaching is more than a profession to me—it is a way to inspire analytical thinking and help students realize their potential. My passion for Mathematics and Financial Management stems from my love for numbers, logic, and learning, strengthened by my academic background and professional experience in accounting, auditing, and education.
I am currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in International Taxation and Law at Hochschule Rhein-Waal University of Applied Sciences, Germany. This program has given me a solid foundation in economics, taxation, and finance, enhancing my analytical and problem-solving abilities. Previously, I earned an Associate Degree in Commerce, which introduced me to accounting and business management and developed my ability to simplify complex quantitative concepts—an essential teaching skill.
I have over two years of experience in accounting and auditing, where I handled financial statements, reconciliations, and compliance. These roles strengthened my attention to detail and logical reasoning. Alongside this, I have taught mathematics and business studies to high school and college students, helping them understand abstract concepts through real-life examples. I emphasize interactive and individualized learning, encouraging curiosity and confidence in every student.
My approach integrates mathematics and financial management, connecting theory to practice—linking algebra with financial forecasting, probability with risk assessment, and equations with budgeting and investment. I use technology and practical examples to make learning engaging and relevant.
Fluent in English and with A2-level German proficiency, I bring an international perspective to teaching, enriched by my experience studying and working in Germany.
My goal is to continue growing as an educator who combines mathematics, finance, and technology to prepare students for the modern financial world—helping them see mathematics not as a challenge, but as a bridge to understanding, confidence, and success.
