My classes are relaxed, friendly, and focused on helping students feel comfortable using the language. I’m not trying to be a “perfect” teacher — I just want students to understand, participate, and enjoy the process.
Keep it simple — I explain things in a clear, straightforward way, without too much technical grammar.
- Lots of examples — I show how the language works through real sentences and everyday situations.
- Practice together — I like doing short activities with students so they can try things out immediately.
- Flexible explanations — If something doesn’t make sense, I try a different angle until it clicks.
- Encouragement over perfection — Mistakes are normal; I focus on communication, not flawless accuracy.
Since I’m teaching Spanish for the first time, I focus on the essentials:
- Basic vocabulary and useful phrases
- Simple grammar explained in a practical way
- Listening and speaking activities
- Short reading or writing tasks when helpful
- Real-life situations students might actually use
I build the content step by step so students don’t feel overwhelmed.
The atmosphere is open and supportive. Students can:
- Ask questions anytime
- Try speaking without fear of being judged
- Share their own examples or experiences
- Learn at a comfortable pace.
I like keeping things interactive, but not stressful. The goal is progress, not pressure.
I taught English many years ago, so I’m familiar with what it feels like to guide someone learning a new language. Now that I’m teaching Spanish for the first time, I bring that same patience and clarity, but with a fresh, flexible approach. I’m learning as I teach, and that actually helps me connect with students — we’re figuring things out together.
