As a Mandarin-Chinese teacher, I have a BA in Chinese linguistics, lived and worked in China for 12 years.
As an English teacher, I have 5 years experience teaching small children in an after-school program in China. For small children, I've used phonetics, songs and games to teach. The methodology applied is intrinsic learning through game-learning.
For adult beginners, we re-enact daily interactions and learn through repetition. We begin to learn grammar only when a certain level is reached.
French is my mother-tongue.
