*l1. Warm-up - 5 min
Quick chat or game in English to get your child comfortable and warmed up. Could be “How was your day?” or a simple word game. No pressure.
2. Main focus - 20-25 min
We work on one clear goal for the lesson. Examples:
- Speaking practice: role-play ordering food, introducing yourself
- Homework help: go through their school work together, explain grammar simply
- Reading + comprehension: read a short story, then answer questions
I keep explanations simple, use examples, and check that they actually understood before moving on.
3. Practice + Fun - 10 min
Quick activity to use what we learned. Could be a game, Q&A, or making up sentences. This helps it stick without feeling like a test.
4. Wrap-up - 2-3 min
Quick review of what we covered, praise for what they did well, and a tiny “homework” if they want it - like 3 sentences or watching a short video.
*Key points:*
- I adjust to your child’s level and pace. If they’re tired or stuck, we slow down and switch it up.
- Everything is online, so I use screen sharing, pictures, and simple slides to keep it visual.
- Parents get a short message after class on what we did and what to expect next.
