I have a student-centered teaching approach that emphasizes artistic exploration, interdisciplinary connections, and personal growth. In previous positions I have prioritized hands-on learning and create inclusive environments where students feel empowered to express themselves while developing technical skills and confidence.

I have extensive experience in a variety of teaching and creative work situations—both in the performing and visual arts. I have always found teaching to be challenging, yet rewarding work. Each teaching experience has developed my idea of what it means to be an inspiring and dedicated educator. I have a great enthusiasm for education and a passion for creativity. I have worked with students individually in my painting classes to help them improve as an artist, focusing on their technical skills, choice of subject matter, as well as their ability to express themselves through art. I have received consistently positive reviews from my students. Areas in which I have teaching experience include painting and drawing, as well as ceramics, beginning printmaking, photography and violin.
