I like to work with texts in a deep and extensive way to be able to offer precise language practices to my students. My approach is holistic, but always respecting the pace of learning of each student. That is very important to prevent my students from feeling frustrated when they are learning English or Spanish. Through my experience I have learned that some of the barriers to learn English or Spanish are related to the previous learning of a poor grammatical structure. Today, that situation is highlighted even more based on the use of the artificial intelligence as a substitute of the language teacher. The problem is that the artificial intelligence is not totally perfect and makes translation errors frequently. Therefore, students cannot realize about it and, consequently, they end up learning the contextual and grammatical errors from the so many apps and bots created by the artificial intelligence. Another factor that negatively influences the correct learning of grammar in English or Spanish is the massive influence of rap/reggaeton music, where the priority is not the correct grammar, but the rhythm and melody of such music. That is why I like to make my students aware of this situation, so that they can increase their command of the English or the Spanish language based on the quality and not on the quantity of contents.
