Experienced English tutor helps students of all ages develop their English skills

After teaching in the Uk and International schools around the world, I now teach students who wish to develop their English skills online.
Students range from school age through University to adult. Topics covered include reading , writing and grammar for school age students; discussion of assignments for University students, and adults who may require help with business terms and emails . Young students often enjoy reading poetry and playscripts: this certainly helps their understanding of English together with the chance to develop pronunciation and intonation. Several young students have told me that they have signed up for holiday time drama workshops in English and report back that they feel much more confident when speaking in English. Lessons often include short videos that are available and the video can be a useful introduction to the topic being discussed. Many adults enjoy the possibility of developing their conversation skills and discussing poetry and literature, current affairs and travel, once again using videos from the BBC to help with improving pronunciation. All options are open and lessons are devised that cover all the students' needs
Many adults have been meeting me regularly for several years and it is always a highlight of the week when we meet online for a further meeting. Some who are visiting the UK for business or holidays often get in touch and we arrange a meeting in person when that can be arranged.
