Esther Gurunga

My name is Esther Gurunga, a highly dedicated and passionate Mathematics teacher with over 9 years of teaching experience, specializing in grades 8 through 13. I hold a Bachelor of Education Honours Degree in Mathematics from Great Zimbabwe University, obtained in 2016, and began my teaching career in 2017.

My results speak for themselves — in my very first Advanced Level class in 2019, an impressive 19 out of 30 students achieved A grades, and in that same year, my Ordinary Level students achieved an outstanding pass rate of over 80%. Since then, my learners have continued to excel and achieve remarkable results year after year.

I believe in making Mathematics accessible, engaging, and enjoyable for every student. My teaching approach combines a variety of methods including problem-solving, visual learning, group discussions, step-by-step guided practice, real-life application of concepts, and individual attention tailored to each student's needs. I work hard to build each learner's confidence and develop their independent thinking skills. I also online tutoring sessions.

I am committed to going above and beyond for every student I teach. I offer extra practice materials, revision sessions, and constant feedback to ensure no student is left behind. I understand that every learner is unique, and I patiently adapt my teaching style to suit different learning abilities and personalities.
