My lessons are structured to be clear, engaging, and focused on real progress, using three key principles: simplifying concepts, associating them with familiar ideas, and practice for confident use.
A typical 45–60 minute online English lesson follows this simple, adaptable flow:
Warm-up (5–10 minutes)
We start with a friendly chat about your interests or a quick review of last time. This builds rapport, activates what you already know, and helps me tailor the lesson.
Presentation: Simplify & Associate (10–15 minutes)
I introduce new language (vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, etc.) in a clear context.
I simplify explanations with short, easy examples and visuals (like I did when explaining technical topics to clients or teaching Biology).
I associate it with your life or known ideas to make it stick (e.g., linking grammar to everyday situations you experience).
Guided Practice (15–20 minutes)
You try the language in controlled activities like sentence building, role-plays, or Q&A. I give gentle, immediate feedback to help you improve accuracy and build confidence.
Freer Practice & Production (10–15 minutes)
You use the language more freely in discussions, storytelling, or describing topics. This boosts fluency and natural speaking.
Wrap-up (5-10 minutes)
We recap what we learned, celebrate wins, answer questions, and I assign fun, personalized homework (like short speaking practice or real-life application).
I adjust the structure based on your goals, level, and preferences—always keeping it enjoyable and effective.
My background in clear communication, teaching, and simplifying ideas makes this approach natural for me!
