Hello! I am a dedicated Chinese Mandarin teacher who has helped students ranging from 5 to over 65 build solid Mandarin language skills and boost their confidence in listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to improve your skills, I will guide you step-by-step using a clear structure, interactive format, and practical teaching methods.

As a Mandarin tutor, I will design and deliver tailored lesson plans that meet the individual needs, learning goals, and proficiency levels of my students. My lessons will focus on developing all four essential language skills: reading, speaking, listening, and writing. To create an engaging and effective learning environment, I utilise a variety of teaching materials, including PowerPoint presentations, YouTube videos, worksheets, and personalized notes.

In addition, I incorporate interactive learning platforms such as Blooket, Educaplay, and Quizizz to make lessons more enjoyable and to reinforce vocabulary, grammar, and sentence structures through games and quizzes. Classes can be conducted online through Zoom, VooV Meeting, Microsoft Teams, or Google Meet, allowing students to learn comfortably from anywhere.

My teaching approach emphasizes student participation and practical language use. Rather than relying solely on memorization, I encourage students to actively communicate in Mandarin through conversations, role-playing activities, storytelling, and real-life scenarios. I believe that language learning should be interactive, meaningful, and enjoyable.

Therefore, whether a student is learning Mandarin for school, work, travel, examinations, or personal interest, I will adapt my teaching methods accordingly. My goal is to build students' confidence, strengthen their language foundation, and help them achieve steady progress while maintaining their motivation and enjoyment in learning Mandarin.

Lastly, I have helped over 20 students speak Mandarin fluently with their friends, colleagues and clients, and even given them enough confidence to give corporate presentations or travel to China without hesitation.
