Business English online with an experienced British coach: meetings, presentations and confident speaking

Do you use English at work, but sometimes struggle to express yourself as clearly as you would like in meetings, presentations or important conversations?

I’m Tanya, a British Business English coach with Cambridge CELTA and Oxford TEFL Business English qualifications. I have taught online since 2011, helping professionals from a wide range of countries and industries improve their spoken English, pronunciation and confidence at work.

My lessons are practical and shaped around the English you actually need. We can work on meetings, presentations, interviews, negotiations, small talk and everyday workplace conversations. I can also help you explain complex ideas more clearly, find the words you need more easily and sound more natural when speaking.

Before becoming an English teacher, I worked as a professional singer for ten years. This gave me a strong understanding of voice, pronunciation, performance and what happens when we feel under pressure. My counselling training also influences the calm, supportive way I work. I understand that somebody can have very good English and still hesitate, go blank or become overly self-conscious in an important situation.

My teaching style is friendly, encouraging and practical. Lessons are not based on following a generic textbook from beginning to end. Instead, I adapt the vocabulary, activities and speaking practice to your work, goals and level. You will have plenty of time to speak, experiment and receive clear, constructive feedback without feeling judged.

I work particularly well with intermediate and advanced adult learners who already know a good deal of English but want to use it with greater clarity and confidence.

Lessons last 45 minutes and take place online using Microsoft Teams. Invoices are provided.
