Hello, I am Somendra, I am from India. I am 20 right now. I am comfortable in teaching in English. Currently I am in 2nd year, pursuing B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering. I started helping my classmates with Mathematics and Science during my school years, mainly by explaining concepts and working through doubts together. I formally began teaching students online in May 2025. I have taught 11th grade Physics and Chemistry to 3 students, 10th grade Mathematics to 1 student, and other subject including mathematics to other class students. When I begin a new topic, I usually start with a simple, everyday situation related to the concept. For example, before trigonometry, I might talk about 'how we could calculate the heigh of the pole by knowing the length of its shadow and the angle at which sunlight falls on it', and let students know that by the end of the chapter they will be able to explain it themselves. This helps create curiosity before introducing theory. For numerical type topics, I start by solving a problem without detailed explanation. This initially feels overwhelming, and I use that moment to observe where the student gets confused. I then break the solution into smaller, logical steps and explain the reasoning behind each one. Throughout the process, I ask questions and involve the student so that they feel they are helping solve the problem themselves. By the end of the class, when students compare their initial confusion with their final understanding, they usually feel confident and satisfied. Helping students move from feeling overwhelmed to truly mastering a topic is something I consistently aim for in my teaching.
