Beril Ekinci

I'm Beril, a master student at the University of Bonn specializing in slavery and dependency studies. I am truly passionate about teaching sociology. I love helping people understand how communities behave and why they act the way they do.

I will try to form a teaching method which is interactive, discussion-based, and student-centered. I don't just ask you to memorize facts, I’ll try to help you think like a sociologist. Each lesson is tailored to your level, interests, and goals. Whatever excites you in sociology – we can focus on that. We can do basic readings together, discuss them, and I will help you develop a “sociological eye” that changes how you see the world.

I have experience explaining complex topics in simple words because I constantly do this in my academic life and with friends who are curious about sociology. I am patient, encouraging, and I truly enjoy seeing my friends have those "aha!" moments when everything clicks.

If you are also curious about social media: I have worked with artists and brands. I can teach you how to create a brand voice, understand platform algorithms, and develop a language strategy for social media. Whether you want to grow your personal page, understand content creation, or just learn how social media works behind the scenes. I have practical experience to share.

Together, we will explore both sociology and the digital world. Sociology helps us understand society, inequality, culture, and human behavior. Social media knowledge helps you navigate the digital age. My goal is to make you more confident in both areas and help you see the world through a sociological lens.

You can also choose just sociology or just social media. They touch each other anyway.
