My teaching style is structured, interactive, and focused on the student. I aim to help students truly understand concepts, not just memorize steps.
I usually begin with a quick check to see what the student already knows and where they may be struggling. From there, I explain ideas in a clear and simple way, breaking complex topics into smaller, easier parts. I use worked examples and relatable explanations, then guide the student through similar problems before allowing them to try independently.
For students preparing for exams like SAT, ACT, IGCSE, or A-Levels, I include timed practice, past questions, and practical test strategies. For general academic support, I focus more on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills, and helping with schoolwork.
My lessons are engaging but focused. I encourage students to ask questions and think through problems, while I support them where needed. I adjust my pace depending on the student, so they don’t feel rushed, but I also make sure we are making steady progress.
I have over 10 years of teaching experience working with students across different curricula in Nigeria, the UK, and the US. I have taught both struggling students and high achievers, and I adapt my approach to suit each learner. My goal is always to help students gain confidence, improve their performance, and become more independent in their learning.
